Over 300 fans of dance, music, opera, painting, sculpture, food, wine, and Assyrian culture gathered at the Gallo Center for the Arts in Modesto, California last Saturday night for Mesopotamian Night 2010 featuring Walter Aziz and the Mesopotamia Symphony Orchestra, and Sherene Melania and the Presidio Dance Theatre. Soprano Liisa Davila, composers Michel Bosc and Sam Madoo, conductor John Kendall Bailey, arranger Edwin Elieh, and musical director Matthew Buckman collaborated in bringing this evening of magic to the stage.

This was the fourth annual Mesopotamian Night musical extravaganza, a project of the AAS-A Central Valley Chapter. Our thanks to Chapter President Tony Khoshaba, AAS-A Director Fred Isaac, and all of the chapter volunteers who so very hard for the past year, with a very special thank you to Master of Ceremonies and inspiration Obelit Yadgar.
