AASA | WASHINGTON, D.C.
The Washington DC Chapter is the newest of the eight AASA chapters around the country.
Although the Assyrian population in the Greater DC-North Virginia-Baltimore Area is not as large as other metropolitan centers, a growing number of young Assyrian professionals are moving there for employment in both the public and private sectors.
In addition, it is advantageous for AASA to have a presence in the U.S. capital city as AASA works with federal government agencies and members of Congress to pursue aid opportunities and promote awareness of Assyrian needs.
