It is with shock and profound sadness that the Assyrian Aid Society of America has learned of David William Lazar’s passing. He was our friend and brother, a tireless activist for justice and for his beloved Assyrian nation, a true giant amongst Assyrians around the world. As an AAS-A co-founder and organizer of the original Los Angeles Chapter, his spirit and his legacy live on with all of us.
