Los Angeles Chapter Adopts Single-Family Agriculture Project
ARMOTA FARM $4100
The Microloan Project is an ongoing program of the Assyrian Aid Society of America and Assyrian Aid Society-IRAQ seeding funds to new Assyrian businesses in North Iraq that provide jobs and stimulate the local economies.
The Armota Farm Microloan has been requested by May Lazar and her two sons in Armota. They are a farming family who need the loan to improve on a farm property they already own.
The $4100 will allow for the purchase of sheep and cows to produce milk and other dairy products as well as meat, all to be sold locally.
The direct impacts include building a sustainable income and security for the family and strengthening the local rural economy.
